DIY Pasta

Today I decided to make pasta from scratch with Bits instead of going out for our date.

Back in Asian I only cook when I feel like it or to be more healthy. Food is so affordable outside it's usually cheaper to eat out.

It's a real eye opener when I started my life here. If you want to save moolah you have cook your food most of time. Eating out is a luxury. That is because labor cost and services are quite high here. In fact we have the highest minimum wages in the world. All ready made products incur a 10% GST.

Raw produce at the moment does not attract GST. It's no brainer that it's cheaper to make your own food and everything else.

There are programs and TV channels dedicated just to teach viewers how to do everything from cooking to gardening, plumbing to woodwork. The DIY culture also supports big hardware chains like Bunnings.

Making your own pasta might be overkill cause pasta really don't cost that much but as far as dates goes, it's pretty priceless.

 You don't need a lot money to have a good time!
